Job Description
Your Responsibilities Include
- As our Grassroots Engagement Director, you will work alongside local leaders to tailor our local strategy for the success and future of this group
- Every day you will make calls and plans to activate new volunteers that turn policy into reality
- You will develop and execute strategies to educate the public on public policy issues and initiatives
Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization
- You're able to build relationships quickly with people from all walks of life and understand how to inspire and motivate others
- You have knowledge of state and federal public policy landscapes
- You can think of new ways to achieve our goals toward better public policy and develop the detailed plans to get us there
- You are ready and willing to canvass neighborhoods and make phone calls for AFP priority initiatives and endorsed candidates, as well as motivate and coordinate volunteers to do the same
- You have a valid driver’s license
